![]() Panasonic F-P15HU2 Air Purifier By: Panasonic Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 7 More Information looks like a good item, but the price here is outrageous Panasonic F-P15HU2 Air Purifier, Panasonics suggested retail is $199.95. This item sells for much less elsewhere. Google "Panasonic F-P15HU2 Air Purifier" and youll find the better pricing. excellent air purifier Ive had one of these in my bedroom for over 10 years to contain dust & smog in California and dust & vog in Hawaii... the unit is efficient and very quiet and takes up little space. Its also relatively inexpensive [less than $100]... I clean the filters regularly and change them every 3 years... very happy with my Panasonic air purifier... Good Design I have several different air purifiers, by Bionaire, Whirlpool and Panasonic. The Bionaires (I have two) have been excellent but according to Amazon users, Bionaire is recently having reliability trouble with that model (# 1175). Thus, when it came time to buy another purifier, I chose this Panasonic for a small room (about 200 sq. ft) and the large Whirlpool for our MBR (400 sq. ft.). Weve been using the Panasonic for about a month, now. The design is excellent. Its reasonable attractive, convenient, quiet and effective. I particularly like the form factor (comparatively thin). An LED display shows a red/green bar graph of the amount of particulate matter in the air, as measured by a sensor in the unit. This feature has been educational, as well as somewhat entertaining (okay, Im easily amused). For example, if I pick a book off a shelf and the display turns more red, I know its probably time to dust the bookshelves. Bottom line: Its only been a month but, so far, Im a happy customer. Automatic, quiet and small footprint I have three parrots in a room, and this unit is exactly what I was looking for. I used a large Honeywell HEPA air filter in the past, but that was quite a bit louder and eventually burned out. I especially like the automatic air sensor feature on the Panasonic, which cycles the unit on and off depending on the amount of dust in the air. This feature actually works, since I can see the air rating lights change from green to red when I go into the room and move things around (stirring up dust). Im considering buying another one for my bedroom. Hard-to-find item This air filter for the Panasonic purifer is excellent. It is very hard to find these, but this seller came through for me! My daughter is an asthmatic and must have clean air to breathe! This filter works amazingly well! Years of service Ive used this purifier for 4 years now. Quiet, automatic, long lasting filters, and low purchase price make it a winner in my book. I now own two. Great auto-sensor unit I have purchased or/am using most every air purifier made (under $300). Having been poisoned by a new home, built defective/mold, I am now MCS/EI. So Im very sensetive to oders (chemical & organic) mold, dust, etc. This Panasonic is truely an automatic unit (on/off & variable speed) with a sensative air quality monitor. Good constuction/function switch and trim design (depth) allow for use most anywhere. This unit is quiet enough for use in the bedroom. The only downside to this unit is the oder ad-sorbing charcoal is built into the backside of filter element, some makers use this method. I prefer to have a removable charcoal mat in front of filter element for easy cleaning/removal ... I did add a charcoal mat to front of this element. I vacuum all my units, the charcoal mat and front of filter element, once a week in order to maintain longevity. |
