Very easy to install. Comes with stick on labels to write date when installed or when to replace. I like the fact that they come in a two pack. One for now and an extra to change when due, it gives me time to reorder. Cracked F201R filter floods kitchen and basement  On: 2010-07-07InSinkErator F-201R Filtration Replacement Cartridges, 2-Pack We woke up this morning to discover that our kitchen was flooded with water from a crack in a F201R filter. The water seeped through the floor and rained into our basement, covering a wide area. We had to call in professional contractors who removed the almost-new flooring from our kitchen and drilled holes around the bottom of each cabinet to allow tubes to be inserted from multiple industrial strength dehumidifying units. Its a real mess, and it will be several weeks until the kitchen is fully restored. Fortunately it is covered by USAA insurance. The contractor who built our kitchen never told us that we needed to replace the filter, in fact I didnt know that it was there until today. Instant hot water is a nice feature, but we have made little use of it. Now I am wary about using it at all. Happy..!  On: 2010-06-30Got just what we ordered, quickly and for a good price. Installed easily, but too new to know how it performs. But the supplier seemed to do his part fast and reasonably priced! Great Filter On: 2010-06-09This filter is easy to install and lasts for 6 month to a year easily. Very happy with the quality of the filtered water. Also a much better buy on Amazon than the home improvement stores which were charging a greater amount. Great product at a great price. Hot water filter-GREAT PRICE On: 2010-06-07This was a great price for 2 of these filters! Much cheaper than Home Depot and Lowes Insinkerator hot water dispenser filter On: 2010-05-21I searched the internet for the insinkerator and found several sources. The one listed on Amazon was the same brand as all others; the big difference was that Amazon had the lowest price! The shipment was made within the next 5 days and tracking info was made available to me throughout the shipment process. It was a very easy and pain-free experience. The ordering was easy and the package arrived promptly. Found them online at Amazon, GREAT! On: 2010-02-01Great price on this cartridge and with Amazon Prime shipping, it is a no brainer to buy this here. If you need this why go anyplace else? Every 3 months??????? On: 2009-10-07The price on this item is way too high to change every 3 months. I didnt realize you had to change it every 3 months and came home from vacation with a flooded kitchen because the filter had cracked! VERY expensive oversight having to re-tile entire kitchen, so dont let it go over year. Same thing happened to a friend. Functional  On: 2009-09-11The item works fine, the water flow is great, tasts fine, a bit too expensive in my opinion for what it is. Insinkerator Instahot filter On: 2009-06-02This filter is easy to change, and you dont have to turn off the water. I like having my hot water filtered. All around positive for me. easy On: 2009-03-27It was the right filter and was a cinch to replace-this was the best price on the web-I got two so Im set for next time too! I love my insta-hot every healthy kitchen should have one! It's So Easy On: 2009-02-17Just put a small bowl under the old filter to catch several ounces of water and twist the old filter counterclockwise a quarter turn. The water from the feed line automatically shuts off so you dont have to turn the water off at the valve. Twist on the new filter and turn on the hot water dispenser for about a minute or so to bleed out the air. It couldnt be more simple!! Its just like they say in the instructions. I finally found something that works like the manufacturer says it should. Ideal replacement On: 2009-01-20The pricing was very good. This filter does a good job and lasted us about 5-6 months (2 adults, 1 baby, and 1 4-day/week mom-in law babysitter). We probably should have replaced after 4-5 months. The water flow drops over time, so you will want to replace on a regular basis. The filter does a good job eliminating flavors and sediment; it doesnt add fresh-water flavor like a Brita filter does. Improved water volume On: 2008-09-11I appreciated that this was a easy job to remove the old filter and replace it with the new one. What I didnt expect was that the volume of water coming out of both the hot and cold faucets increased considerably with the new filter. New type of filter On: 2008-09-03I decided to try this filter as a far cheaper replacement to the original filter (501 I think) as we have pretty good water to start with. Must say I cant tell the difference. Water Filter On: 2008-05-10The filter arrived on time, and in good condition. The filter was easy to install, replacing a used filter of the same tiype. Running cold water through it for a minute removed all visible carbon fines from the water. awesome On: 2008-04-07it is so nice to have filtered hot and cold water - i use it every day - the filter was so heavy when I removed the old one to put the new one on. Great, if pricey On: 2007-12-13Great water filter. My heating unit (Insinkerator hot and cold dispenser) has started leaking, but I am still able to use the cold water. It is wonderful.
